Someplace to sit and relax

I painted my furniture this year my favorite turquoise blue it's such a crisp happy color. I love to sit here in the garden and watch the birds and butterflies.

Blackeyed Susan

The blackeyed susan's are all open early this summer they are one flower that can take the heat. We have been very hot and dry here in the northeast we had July heat in June and it has continued with no break.
August is going to be interesting!

My Roses

One of my beautiful roses.

My new Sun Porch

Beautiful soft yellow walls airy white sheers frame the sun porch. The daybed is a yard sale find for $10 the pillows I made well there are the 4 green ones I did buy at the dollar store. I have almost every color chenille bedspread I can put my hands on. Here I used a white one and a pink one folded at the bottom. I did just find a beautiful turquoise blue one which I have on the bench folded with turquoise baskets under for magazines and sewing projects that I can work on while relaxing on the daybed. Everything in the sun porch is about nature and the gardens from the flower material I used on the pillows to all my little birds and some pictures of roses from my friend Irena's gardens. I love shabby chic decor so my goal was to use soft pastels and vintage finds. I painted all the furniture white to give this room a soft Victorian feel. Oh no men allowed! They have their man caves I have my Shabby Chic Bright Sun Porch!

My Wrap around front porch I decorate it like another room in my home.

One of my favorite places my wrap around porch. I sit out here in the evenings I get full sun in the mornings. I also spend lots of time on my new sun porch I just had put on the back of my house both are decorated with flea market and yardsale finds. The gardens in the front are 5 years old they continue down both sides of my house and into the fenced in back yard. I live in the mountains of western MD inside city limits but it is very much a country setting other then the sidewalks and alleys between the streets. The street I live on is brick one of a few left original in thiz historic town. My gardens in the back yard are 2 years old and the newest this summer I planted just outside of my sun porch. I planted roses along the wall that will fill in some are climbers and will grow up the sides. I can see the gardens from the windows when I relax in the sunporch after a long day at work or working in the gardens. I love to read and spend time with my dogs on my sun porch.
Come visit my other blog http://suesjunktreasures.blogspot.com I have posted some of my flea market finds and some junk I have made from old found treasures.
